Hi, I’m Arthur, and I did a 4-month internship at QNT. When you think of a period like that, it might either seem long or very short. For me, I lived this experience at full speed. I was quickly integrated into the team, which immediately made me feel comfortable. Between the start of my internship and the end, I feel like millions of events occurred. Between action-packed periods like Back to School, Halloween, Black Friday, Christmas, countless team discussions, and plenty of laughs, it’s clear we never had time to get bored! It was incredibly rewarding to contribute and make a difference in a company like QNT. As an intern, having the opportunity to grow within a supportive team and a company you love is something I wish for everyone. If I had to do it all over again, I would, without hesitation!
Tasks
At the start of the internship, I was given time to acclimate with “quieter” research tasks. For example, benchmarking, analyzing competitors’ products and ads, to help me understand the sports nutrition market, competitors, and market trends. As I gained confidence, I moved on to creating/editing visuals, videos, and other content for social media with Manon, the Community Manager. I also had the chance to attend a photoshoot at Mix—it was truly incredible.
On top of that, I began working on the website with Julien, the E-commerce Director. I edited product pages, created product packs, and uploaded them in three languages! He also taught me how to optimize SEO using tools like Google Merchant Center. I also designed newsletters, the perfect advertising tool for reaching our customer base, which was super instructive!
Additionally, with Alex, the COO, I was tasked with researching potential distributors and FMCG specialists. He taught me a lot about the business side of things, and I even got to join a call with a buyer in Romania! Afterward, I was involved in creating marketing campaigns: implementation, creating promo codes, website banners, strategy, communication, and promotions. I had a front-row seat to see how things happen at QNT. Thanks to all these experiences, I now know the product catalog inside and out!
Atmosphere
What I can say about the atmosphere is that even on Mondays, I was happy to go to work! There was an incredible vibe, with a team that could laugh while staying serious and focused on the job. We did face a few challenges, though, with the office itself. For example, when the heating made as much noise as a Travis Scott concert, or the full-sun exposure that forced us to barricade the windows with cardboard since there were no blinds. (Don’t worry, the office is perfect now.)
Beyond that, at Silversquare, I got to meet so many friendly and interesting people from different companies!
Learning
Before finding this internship, I was afraid I wouldn’t get to do something I enjoyed. When I saw QNT’s ad—a Belgian company in sports nutrition offering a marketing/digital E-commerce internship—I was immediately tempted. And what I can say now is that the ad didn’t lie. I was truly immersed in these fields and became a “Swiss army knife” in supporting my team members. Because of this, I really learned so much, across many areas, which was exactly what I was looking for. I leave with valuable knowledge about this company and the professional world.
I have only one piece of advice for the next intern at QNT: make the most of the experience. Absorb as much information and knowledge about the company as possible because there’s so much to learn!
Acknowledgments
To conclude this article, I’d like to thank my team.
Thank you all for teaching me everything I learned. I’ll keep incredibly positive memories of this experience, and thanks to you, I can finally imagine what working in a company feels like. It’s nothing like the student jobs I’ve had. Because of your positivity, I was motivated to give my all to learn and contribute. Thank you for your continuous support and for providing solutions whenever problems arose. Thank you for all the energy you dedicated to teaching me about the numerous tools we used.
Thank you to Manon for guiding me through creating visuals, shooting and editing videos, and the photoshoot at Mix. It was so cool to experience this side of the company, the “backstage,” as we say. Thank you, Julien, for your patience in teaching me all the secrets of the famous back office. I loved playing “YouTuber” with the 22 videos I created throughout the internship. Finally, thank you, Alex, for trusting me to join the QNT team. It was a real pleasure sharing this internship with you! P.S.: We’ll always remember that CrossFit session we decided to do on a Monday night and regretted for the rest of the week because of the soreness.
On these final words, it’s a wrap!
Arthur
